Brussels, 1987: EEC stops funding DAPP after a critical evaluation report.

Stockholm, 1992: Report commissioned by Swedish government, the Valdelin Report, finds only 2 per cent of money raised for DAPP in Africa is spent on legitimate charity work - the rest stays in the organisation.

Zambia, 1996: UK Charity Commission investigators visit DAPP projects in Zambia, after a series of critical newspaper articles about Humana UK. They conclude that there is serious financial impropriety and DAPP projects may be double-funded, allowing a hidden surplus to be transferred abroad. Humana UK is placed in receivership and closes down.

Denmark / Angola 2000: former TG volunteer Britta Junge (left) reveals how, as ADPP treasurer in Angola in 1995, she was employed to regularly smuggle thousands of dollars in cash from Angola to Denmark. ADPP received the cash from US oil companies, but never spent it on aid. Her testimony is aired on Danish TV and sparks a major Danish police investigation.

Holland, 2002: Dutch TV reveals a 1995 memo written by Teachers Group member Neils Peter Holst (left) outlining a method for 'laundering' cash through Humana Holland, and DAPP in Zambia and Angola, and back to Europe. One expert tells Dutch TV 'I never saw such a large-scale swindle'

Malawi, 2003: the Malawi government investigates the DAPP college at Mikolongwe (left), after African students complain of being forced to 'work like slaves'. Article in Malawi News >>>>>

Rome, 2004: The Rome-based UN World Food Programme ceases cooperation with DAPP over food distribution after a review of NGO partnerships. "WFP is well aware of the connection between ADPP/DAPP and Humana and a number of other related organisations...." the agency said. Report.
